The nearest airport is Klagenfurt (KLA) in Austria, and Jože Pučnik Airport Ljubljana (LJU) in Slovenia is also nearby with daily flights from major European cities and availability of low-cost airlines.

Nearby are also the airports of Graz and Vienna (AUT), Trieste and Venice (ITA), Zagreb (CRO) and Munich (GER), where transportation can also be arranged from the airport and back.
